Blawnox

Blawnox is a small borough located on the Allegheny River. Blawnox is within the National Blue Ribbon Award winning Fox Chapel school district .

From Blawnox you can visit Sycamore Island to find the serenity on one of the very few undeveloped forested Allegheny River islands open to the public. Hiking and mushrooming are very popular here.

Blawnox is also home to many wonderful restaurants and pubs including Tepache Mexican Kitchen and Bar, Maenam Thai, and Moondogs.  Additionally, Nox's Tavern and Grill are just a few miles away. Waterworks shopping center is also a convenient area for shopping and dining.

Oakmont

Oakmont

Oakmont displays small-town charm with big city choices. The borough is best known for the nearby Oakmont Country Club and premiere golf course, which has been the site of numerous US Open golf tournaments, including the 2016 US Open. Oakmont is home to many bars notable restaurants coffee shops and parks, and is a wonderful walkable community.
Harmar

Harmar

Harmar Township is just up the road. It contains the communities of Harmarville, Harmar Heights, Chapel Downs, and Acmetonia. Harmer's home to many fine restaurants and places of lodging. There are tons of great pubs, places of entertainment, and parks. It has a suburban but rural feel!
Sharpsburg

Sharpsburg

Sharpsburg is located down the Allegheny river from Miramar Landings. Despite being a small borough, Sharpsburg is rich with parks and recreational facilities. Heinz Memorial Park donated to the children of Sharpsburg from the Heinz family.  Historically it was used as a football field for local teams as well as community baseball and softball teams. Other parks include Kennedy Park 16th, Street Park,  James Sharp Landing, Curly Park and Gateway Park.

Sharpsburg has a great up-and-coming feel with small coffee shops, microbreweries, and unique stores you're sure to love.
